Canoe Occoneechee

Let's Go Canoeing! Come join us in September for some paddling fun on Buggs Island Lake. Occoneechee State Park is offering free canoe trips during the month of September. All experience levels welcome. The park staff will provide instructions and all paddling equipment needed (canoe, paddles, PFDs). You are responsible for proper clothing and water shoes to protect your feet. We will meet at the Posseclay Interpretive Shelter which is located past the playgrounds beyond picnic shelters 1&2. Canoe Trips will be on September 16th AND 23rd. Two time slots available 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm.
